Mahindra & Mahindra has revealed new cosmetic updates for its long-standing sub-4 metre SUVs—the Bolero and Bolero Neo—through the launch of the Bold Edition. Based on the top variants, these refreshed versions introduce updated styling elements inside and out, while keeping the mechanicals untouched.

What’s New with the 2025 Mahindra Bolero Bold Edition?

Mahindra officially showcased the updated Bolero Bold Edition via a video on its social media platforms. The SUV is seen wearing its familiar Diamond White paint, now paired with fresh body graphics across the doors and side panels. Enhancing the front is an all-black grille, which features two vertical slats finished in dark grey or gunmetal. The Mahindra logo now gets a chrome highlight, adding a bit of contrast.

The bumpers have also been updated, with black housings for the fog lamps and yellow graphics, giving it a sportier edge. A ‘Bold Edition’ badge appears on the side, just ahead of the D-pillar. The rear lights now feature a clear-lens design.

While the exterior gets a refreshed appearance, the cabin remains mostly the same. It retains a simple Bluetooth-enabled sound system and a digital instrument cluster that displays useful information like fuel economy, trip details, and door status.

Powering the Bolero Bold Edition is the same 1.5-litre diesel engine, producing 75 bhp at 3600 rpm and 210 Nm of torque between 1600–2200 rpm. It comes paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The SUV continues to focus on rugged reliability and has been one of Mahindra’s most consistent sellers over the years.

Mahindra has positioned the Bold Edition with the tagline “Bemisal jazbe ki shaan, Bold ki nayi pehchaan”, which translates to showcasing a bold new identity with unmatched spirit. The updates include Dark Chrome accents on the exterior and a Premium Black interior theme, along with a blacked-out bumper that adds to its assertive look.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Bold Edition: What Sets It Apart?

The Bolero Neo Bold Edition also gets a styling update. It features a chrome-finish front grille with silver mesh inserts. The front bumper sports a honeycomb pattern, with fog lamps integrated neatly. At the rear, the spare wheel cover and air conditioning vent are now finished in black, giving the SUV a more aggressive stance.

Inside, the cabin follows an all-black theme. Updates include new seat covers, neck pillows, and seatbelt cushions, all aimed at improving comfort. Mahindra also includes a Comfort Kit, which seems focused on enhancing the in-cabin experience for passengers.

Under the hood, the Bolero Neo Bold Edition is powered by the 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 98.5 bhp at 3750 rpm and 260 Nm of torque between 1750–2250 rpm. Like the standard model, it uses a 5-speed manual transmission.

Mahindra has positioned the Neo Bold Edition with the tagline “Born Bold, Built Unstoppable”, highlighting its tough appeal and rugged build. It shares the Dark Chrome exterior highlights and Premium Black interior theme with the Bolero Bold Edition. Additional features exclusive to the Neo variant include roof rails and a rear-view camera.

All About Style: No Changes Under the Hood

Both Bold Editions are cosmetic updates with no changes to engine or platform. Mahindra continues to use the same ladder-frame chassis for both models, known for their durability and off-road strength. These models cater to buyers looking for tough, no-nonsense SUVs in the sub-4 metre segment—a space where Bolero and Bolero Neo face little direct competition.

Prices for the Bold Edition packages have not been announced yet, but it is expected that the Bolero Neo Bold Edition could carry a higher premium than the standard Bolero Bold Edition, owing to more add-ons and a slightly more premium positioning.
