Mahindra teases Vision.S SUV ahead of August 15 debut. Expected to feature rugged styling, advanced tech, and flexible ICE and EV powertrain options under the new Freedom NU platform.

After recently teasing the Vision.T, Mahindra has now dropped another teaser—this time for a new concept called the Vision.S, which is also set to be unveiled on August 15, 2025. The teaser offers limited details, but early impressions suggest the Vision.S will follow the rugged and boxy design theme Mahindra has leaned into with its recent SUV concepts.

From the brief clip, we can spot design cues like a clamshell bonnet with prominent vents, pronounced wheel arch flares, and an upright stance—indicating that this concept too could be a tough, off-road-ready SUV. There’s also speculation that it could preview the next-generation Bolero, or even a production-ready version of the Global Pik-Up concept showcased earlier. However, Mahindra hasn’t confirmed any of these assumptions yet.

Just like the Vision.T—which many believe is a refined evolution of the Thar.e electric SUV from 2023—the Vision.S might also preview a future production model. The company is expected to showcase five new vehicles and a new modular platform at its upcoming ‘Freedom_Nu’ event in Mumbai, where both the Vision.T and Vision.S will be fully revealed.
The Vision.S concept is expected to be underpinned by Mahindra’s new NFA (New Flexible Architecture) platform. This upcoming platform is designed to support multiple powertrains, including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and fully electric setups—giving Mahindra flexibility in addressing future mobility needs. Both ICE and EV versions of the Vision.S are likely to be on the table.

Though Mahindra has kept technical specifications under wraps, it’s expected the Vision.S will feature advanced driver assistance systems (Level 2 ADAS), a large touchscreen infotainment system, and possibly even a panoramic sunroof. These features could position the Vision.S as a strong value offering in its segment.
As the Independence Day event nears, we can expect more teasers to drop, giving us a clearer picture of what Mahindra has planned for its future SUV lineup.
