Maruti Suzuki’s e-Vitara has been spotted undisguised ahead of its September 2025 launch. It will offer up to 500km range with 49kWh and 61kWh battery options.

Maruti Suzuki’s first all-electric SUV, the e-Vitara, has been spotted in its final production form ahead of its official launch scheduled for September 2025. The vehicle was seen finished in a Bluish Black exterior shade, featuring dual-tone alloy wheels, confirming that the design is now fully ready for market introduction.
The e-Vitara will be available in 10 exterior colour options, including Arctic White, Opulent Red, Nexa Blue, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Land Breeze Green with Bluish Black roof, and several dual-tone combinations with contrasting roof colours.
Maruti Suzuki will offer the e-Vitara with two battery pack options: a 49 kWh and a larger 61 kWh unit. Both versions will feature a single electric motor setup for the Indian market, while export models are expected to get a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration. The larger battery is expected to deliver a certified driving range of over 500 kilometres on a single charge.

The e-Vitara is expected to offer a modern feature set, including a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and a 360-degree camera system. Safety equipment will include seven airbags and a Level 2 ADAS suite, aligning with segment expectations.

The SUV will be sold through Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa dealership network. While official bookings are yet to open, some dealerships have reportedly begun accepting informal pre-orders.
The e-Vitara will compete directly with upcoming electric SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Harrier EV, and Mahindra’s XEV 9e and BE 6.
