MG Motor is launching the all-electric M9 luxury MPV in India on July 21. Offered via the new MG Select network, it packs a 90kWh battery, up to 500km range, and lounge-like rear seats. Bookings open at Rs. 51,000.

MG Motor, under the JSW MG Motor India partnership, is all set to launch its all-electric luxury MPV, the MG M9, on July 21, 2025. This will be the first product to be sold through the brand’s new ‘MG Select’ premium dealership network and will also become the most expensive MG offering in the country.
The M9 will arrive in India as a semi knocked-down (SKD) unit and will be offered in a single, fully-loaded variant. Bookings are already open both online and at authorized MG dealerships with a token amount of Rs. 51,000. Once launched, the M9 will enter a segment that includes high-end MPVs like the Toyota Vellfire and the upcoming new-gen Kia Carnival, although its electric drivetrain sets it apart from both.
The MPV will be available in three exterior colours: Cardiff Black, Luminous White, and Mystic Grey. It features a boxy profile with a near-flat roofline. At the front, sleek daytime running lights sit above angular headlamp clusters, while the front bumper gets chrome detailing. The rear gets a full-width connected LED taillamp, enhancing its premium road presence.

Inside, the cabin follows a minimalistic design theme. Key highlights include a 12.23-inch central touchscreen and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The second row is fitted with ‘Presidential Seats’, which offer heating, ventilation, massage functions, and fold-out ottomans. These seats are controlled via touch panels mounted on the armrests, offering a truly lounge-like experience.
Feature-wise, the M9 comes with a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless charging, digital IRVM, PM 2.5 air filter, and three drive modes. It also offers Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities, and has a 55-litre frunk for additional storage.
