All-new MG Windsor EV Pro launched in India at ₹17.49 lakh with a 52.9 kWh battery, 449km claimed range, Level-2 ADAS, V2L and V2V tech. Bookings open May 8 for first 8,000 units.

JSW MG Motor India has officially launched the new Windsor Pro EV at an introductory price of ₹17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the first 8,000 units will begin on May 8, marking the start of this new top-end variant’s rollout across the country.
The Windsor Pro builds on the base Windsor EV introduced in September 2024, offering significant upgrades including a larger battery pack, extended driving range, and more premium features.
Key Mechanical Upgrade: Bigger Battery, Longer Range

The standout upgrade in the Windsor Pro is the inclusion of a 52.9 kWh battery pack, the same unit seen in the MG ZS EV. This setup enables the Windsor Pro to deliver a claimed range of 449 km on a full charge. Power is delivered through the familiar PMS motor, producing 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. The vehicle can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.6 seconds, and has a top speed of 170 kmph.
In comparison, the standard Windsor EV comes with a 38 kWh LFP battery offering a 332 km claimed range and is also rated IP67 for water and dust resistance.
Design & Visual Differences
On the outside, the Windsor Pro looks nearly identical to the regular model, except for a ‘Pro’ badge on the tailgate. It retains the sleek styling elements like LED headlamps, flush door handles, and a powered tailgate. The EV is now offered in three colour options: Aurora Silver, Glaze Red, and Celadon Blue.

The cabin gets a more premium appeal with dual-tone ivory interiors. It maintains features such as the 15.6-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, aero-lounge rear seats with a 135-degree recline, and 60:40 split rear seat configuration.
New Features in Windsor EV Pro

The Windsor EV Pro packs 12 Level-2 ADAS features, including:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Lane Departure Warning
- Traffic Jam Assist
Also new to this variant are:
- Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability
- Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging technology
- New alloy wheels
- Updated upholstery
These additions are aimed at enhancing both safety and convenience, building upon the already feature-rich setup of the base Windsor EV.
Price and Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS)
The MG Windsor EV Pro has been launched at a special introductory price of ₹17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 8,000 customers. The variant is also available under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan, priced at ₹12.49 lakh (ex-showroom) with a battery rental rate of ₹4.5 per kilometre.
Here’s a quick comparison of prices across the Windsor lineup:
| Variant | BaaS Price | Regular Price (Ex-showroom) |
|---|---|---|
| Windsor EV | ₹10 lakh + ₹3.9/km | ₹14 lakh |
| Windsor Pro | ₹12.49 lakh + ₹4.5/km | ₹17.49 lakh (Introductory) |
Note: The base Windsor EV starts at ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end Windsor Pro could cost over ₹20 lakh once introductory pricing ends.
Rivals
The MG Windsor Pro continues to rival mainstream electric SUVs such as the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400, but with added features and a larger battery, it aims to capture a more premium segment within the EV market.
