NIO presents 11 electric vehicles and 12 core technologies at Auto Shanghai 2025, highlighting innovations from NIO, ONVO, and firefly, with global expansion plans.

NIO presented a major showcase at Auto Shanghai 2025, featuring 11 electric vehicles and 12 core technologies under its three brands—NIO, ONVO, and firefly. This marks the first time all three brands have been featured together at an international auto show.
NIO’s flagship model, the ET9, headlined the event. The smart electric executive sedan is equipped with in-house developed technologies including the SkyRide Full Active Suspension, steer-by-wire system, and the Shenji NX9031 smart driving chip. Deliveries of the ET9 began in China on March 29, 2025.
The company’s lifestyle-focused sub-brand, ONVO, introduced its new large-space flagship SUV, the L90, which is set to begin deliveries in Q3 2025. ONVO’s third model, the L80, is expected to launch later in Q4.
Making its global debut, NIO’s newest brand firefly showcased a compact high-end EV, targeting urban and young users. Launched domestically on April 19, the vehicle will begin deliveries in China on April 29, 2025. The brand also revealed its intent to enter 16 international markets this year, as part of NIO’s broader strategy to expand into 25 countries and regions.
NIO’s booth featured a dedicated tech zone exhibiting 12 Full Stack in-house innovations. Key technologies on display included the 900V high-performance electric drive system, 750kW liquid-cooled NIO Power Charger 4.0, and the fourth-generation Power Swap Station. These systems support faster charging, seamless battery swapping, and greater performance across the vehicle range.
In addition, the company introduced its latest sustainability efforts through its BLUE SKY LAB Upcycling Project, showcasing eco-friendly materials and lifestyle products created from leftover automotive materials.
