
The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has been honored with the prestigious 2025 World Performance Car award. This accolade was presented during the 2025 New York International Auto Show, where the 911 Carrera GTS outperformed contenders such as the BMW M5 and the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.
To be eligible for the 2025 World Performance Car award, vehicles must meet the following criteria:
- Production Volume: Manufactured in quantities of at least 1,000 units per year.
- Performance Focus: Exhibit an overtly performance-focused in overall character.
- Market Availability: Available for sale in at least two major markets—such as China, Europe, India, Japan, Korea, Latin America, or the USA—across at least two separate continents between January 1, 2024, and March 30, 2025.
