Land Rover has revealed the Range Rover SV Black Edition, featuring a Narvik Gloss Black exterior, 615 hp V8 engine, and immersive Body‑and‑Soul Seats.

Land Rover has taken the wraps off the Range Rover SV Black Edition, expanding its popular blacked-out theme to the top-spec version of its flagship luxury SUV. Following the global debut of the Defender Octa Black and Range Rover Sport SV Black editions, the latest SV Black continues the brand’s dark-themed design philosophy with added features and enhanced luxury.

The new Range Rover SV Black Edition gets a stealthy Narvik Gloss Black finish across the bodywork. This extends to gloss black detailing on the grille, Range Rover lettering, tailgate trim, and badging. The darkened treatment also includes the 23-inch alloy wheels, which now get a black finish, and black brake calipers. A black ceramic SV roundel on the tailgate replaces the usual white version, giving the SUV an even more distinctive look.

Inside, the blacked-out theme continues with all-black ebony leather upholstery. The seats feature a new diagonal stitching pattern on the upper section, while the cabin gets a black birch wood veneer and a satin-black ceramic gear selector.
For added comfort and audio immersion, the SUV now comes with Range Rover’s Body-and-Soul Seat (BASS) and Sensory Floor systems as standard. These features use transducers embedded in the seats and floor to create vibrations that match the music, allowing passengers to physically feel the audio experience.

Powering the SV Black Edition is the familiar 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine sourced from BMW. Mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, the engine produces 615hp and 750Nm of torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds — impressive for a vehicle of its size and weight.

The Range Rover SV Black Edition will be offered in both standard wheelbase (5-seater) and long-wheelbase (4- and 5-seater) configurations globally. It joins other Range Rover SV design themes like the SV Serenity and SV Intrepid, both of which have already been introduced in India.
Although Land Rover India hasn’t officially confirmed the arrival of the Black Edition, the local market recently saw the launch of two ultra-exclusive SV models — the SV Masara Edition and SV Ranthambore Edition — each limited to just 12 units and priced at ₹4.99 crore and ₹4.98 crore (ex-showroom), respectively.
