Range Rover Velar Autobiography has been launched in India at ₹89.90 lakh. It gets premium upgrades over the Dynamic SE, including massage seats, adaptive suspension, and more.

Jaguar Land Rover has introduced a new top-of-the-line variant to the Velar range in India — the Range Rover Velar Autobiography, priced at ₹89.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest version sits above the Dynamic SE trim, commanding a premium of around ₹5 lakh, and brings with it added luxury and a more refined feature list.
Visually, the Velar Autobiography stands out with subtle but distinct changes. It features copper-finished exterior trims, exclusive 20-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, pixel LED headlamps, and a panoramic sunroof as standard. Inside, the cabin is finished in Ebony Windsor leather matched with Shadow Grey Ash veneer, creating an upscale and relaxing ambiance.

Comfort and luxury are clearly the focus here. The front seats offer 20-way adjustment with massage function, while the rear passengers get the added benefit of power reclining seats, configurable ambient lighting, and four-zone climate control with an integrated cabin air purifier. Enhancing the in-cabin experience is the Meridian 3D Surround Sound System and Suedecloth headliner, making the Autobiography feel every bit as premium as its badge suggests.

Technology updates are also part of the package. The SUV gets an 11.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a powered tailgate with gesture control. It also features adaptive air suspension, Terrain Response 2 with multiple off-road and drive modes, and a host of driver assistance systems like 360-degree surround cameras, cruise control, and powered steering adjustment.

Under the hood, the Velar Autobiography offers the same set of powertrains as the Dynamic SE. Buyers can choose between a 2.0-litre P250 petrol engine producing 247 bhp and 365 Nm of torque or a D200 2.0-litre mild-hybrid diesel delivering 201 bhp and 430 Nm of torque. Both variants come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and feature all-wheel drive as standard.
Commenting on the launch, Ryan Miller, Global Product and Services Director, Range Rover, said, “Range Rover Velar sits at the heart of the Range Rover family and has been a critical pillar of our growth in India. It has emotionally charged DNA and an unquestionable pedigree, and we are excited to now introduce Autobiography on Range Rover Velar. Autobiography is an unmistakable expression of refinement and luxury. From the Suedecloth headlining and Full Extended Windsor Leather to the immersive Meridian 3D Surround Sound System, every detail is designed to create a sanctuary on wheels. The Velar Autobiography is a true embodiment of Range Rover luxury – modern and compelling.”
