Renault 4 Savane 4×4 Concept debuts at Roland-Garros 2025 with all-wheel drive, increased ground clearance, and rugged styling. Designed for electric off-road adventures.

Renault is showcasing its adventurous new Renault 4 Savane 4×4 Concept at the Roland-Garros French Open tennis tournament, held from 19 May to 8 June 2025. This marks the fourth year Renault has partnered as a premium sponsor of the event. The Savane 4×4 Concept will be displayed alongside other eye-catching models like the Renault 5 Turbo 3E and the Renault 5 E-Tech electric Roland-Garros special edition.

Designed for modern explorers, the Renault 4 Savane 4×4 Concept offers rugged, go-anywhere looks combined with smart electric power. Unlike the regular Renault 4 E-Tech, this concept features a second electric motor on the rear axle, providing permanent all-wheel drive. This setup makes it capable of handling muddy paths, snow, and rough terrain with ease — making it ideal for mild off-roading adventures.

The concept sits 15 mm higher than the standard Renault 4 E-Tech, with increased ground clearance. It rides on special 18-inch Goodyear UltraGrip Performance+ tyres, and both the front and rear tracks have been widened by 10 mm to improve stability. These upgrades give the Savane a more stable and capable stance across different terrains.

The exterior is finished in a new Jade Green paint, paired with Gloss Black bumpers and wheel arches that highlight its rugged style. The roof features a printed fabric with a pixelated design that Renault calls a “concealment effect” — essentially a modern form of camouflage. To boost durability, the front and rear bumpers use 3D-printed parts that provide better shock absorption compared to traditional materials. At the back, Renault has cleverly combined the ‘4’ and ‘4×4’ badges into a single emblem, emphasizing its off-road identity.

Inside, the Savane 4×4 Concept focuses on refined materials and elegant details. The seats are covered in Deep Brown textile with a quilted pattern featuring repeated ‘4’ motifs, adding a graphic touch. The same textile wraps the dashboard and door panels, with tonal top-stitching running horizontally for a clean look. A backlit ‘4Savane’ logo on the dashboard adds a signature element to the cabin.

Renault’s presence at Roland-Garros goes beyond the concept car. The company is providing a fleet of 187 vehicles for the event, mainly consisting of Scenic E-Tech electric and Rafale full hybrid E-Tech models.
Alongside the Savane concept, Renault is unveiling the Renault 5 Turbo 3E for the first time to the public. This electric ‘mini-supercar’ shares the spotlight with the Renault 5 E-Tech electric Roland-Garros special series, highlighting Renault’s focus on electrification and sporty design.
