Tata Harrier EV gets over 10,000 bookings on day one. Starts at ₹21.49 lakh, offers up to 627 km range, dual-motor QWD, and loyalty benefits worth ₹1 lakh.

Tata Motors has officially started production of the Harrier EV at its Pune facility, following an impressive launch that saw over 10,000 bookings within just 24 hours. Bookings for the electric SUV began on July 2 via Tata’s official website and authorised dealerships. With deliveries scheduled to begin in July 2025, the Harrier EV is already showing strong momentum in the electric SUV space.
Priced between ₹21.49 lakh and ₹30.23 lakh (ex-showroom), the Harrier EV sits in a competitive segment and has quickly gained attention. Its booking figures are second only to the Mahindra XEV 9e, which registered 16,900 bookings on launch day earlier this year. Despite ongoing concerns in the global EV space around rare earth materials, Tata has confirmed that its current production plans remain unaffected, and the company is confident in meeting the demand.
Tata is also offering existing Tata EV owners exclusive loyalty benefits worth ₹1 lakh if they choose to upgrade to the Harrier EV, providing additional incentive for brand loyalists.
The Harrier EV is built on Tata’s Acti.ev+ architecture and comes with two battery pack options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh. Under MIDC testing, the 65 kWh variant offers a certified range of 538 km, while the larger 75 kWh pack delivers up to 627 km. For more practical expectations, Tata has provided real-world figures using its C75 standard: 420–445 km for the 65 kWh and 480–505 km for the 75 kWh versions. The QWD (Quad Wheel Drive) top variant, powered by the 75 kWh battery, has a claimed range of 622 km (MIDC) and 460–490 km (C75).
Powertrain configurations include rear-wheel drive (RWD) and quad-wheel drive (QWD). The RWD versions use a single permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 238 PS and 315 Nm, while the QWD variants feature a dual-motor setup—158 PS from the front motor and 238 PS from the rear—delivering a combined torque of 504 Nm.
Drive modes differ depending on the drivetrain. RWD models get Eco, City, and Sport modes, while QWD variants also feature a Boost mode for extra performance. Tata has also built in off-road capabilities for the QWD models, which come with a 600 mm water wading depth and a 47% gradeability, enhancing its appeal to adventure-oriented buyers.

Safety is a strong point on the Harrier EV, with all variants featuring six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Inside, the SUV debuts a segment-first QLED touchscreen display, adding a modern, tech-forward feel to the cabin.
In terms of variants, the 65 kWh battery is available in Adventure, Adventure S, and Fearless+ trims. The 75 kWh version can be had in Fearless+, Empowered RWD, and Empowered QWD configurations. Additionally, Tata has introduced a Stealth Edition, offered in four versions based on the Empowered 75 trim, including ACFC-equipped models.
