Tata Motors has started production of the Harrier.ev at its Pune facility, with deliveries expected to begin soon. Available in RWD and AWD variants, the electric SUV offers up to 627km range, fast charging, and segment-first features.

Tata Motors has officially begun production of its all-electric Harrier.ev SUV, with the first unit rolling out of the Pune plant. Following the launch in June, bookings for the Harrier.ev opened on July 2 via Tata’s official website, and deliveries are expected to begin within the next couple of weeks.

The Harrier.ev is priced between ₹21.49 lakh and ₹30.23 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with two powertrain configurations—Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Quad-Wheel Drive (QWD). The RWD setup is available in four variants: Adventure, Adventure S, Fearless+, and Empowered. The QWD configuration is exclusive to the top-end Empowered variant.

In terms of performance, the 65kWh and 75kWh variants both feature an RWD single-motor setup delivering 238hp and 315Nm of torque. The QWD version, equipped with dual motors, boosts power to 313hp and 504Nm, making it one of the most powerful electric SUVs in its class.

Tata claims a range of 538km for the 65kWh model, while the 75kWh RWD and QWD variants offer 627km and 622km respectively, based on MIDC (Part 1 + Part 2) testing.

Apart from offering competitive performance and range, Tata has also ensured convenience through fast and flexible charging options. Fast charging capabilities are among the Harrier.ev’s highlights. It supports 120kW DC fast charging, enabling a 20% to 80% top-up in just 25 minutes. Moreover, it can regain up to 250km of range in only 15 minutes. For home charging, buyers can choose between 3.3kW and 7.2kW AC chargers. It also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality up to 3.3kW and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging up to 5kW.

On the safety front, the Harrier.ev has scored a 5-star rating under Bharat NCAP, scoring 32/32 for adult safety and 45/49 for child occupant protection—among the highest in its segment.

The electric SUV is built on Tata’s new acti.ev+ platform and is loaded with features, including a 540° surround view system, a massive 14.5-inch Harman touchscreen display powered by Samsung Neo QLED tech, and a premium JBL 10-speaker system with Dolby Atmos.

Tata also recently introduced the Harrier EV Stealth Edition in an exclusive matte black exterior, matched by an all-black interior theme.

With production underway and deliveries just around the corner, the Harrier.ev marks a significant step forward for Tata’s expanding electric vehicle lineup.
