Tata Motors is set to launch the Harrier EV and Altroz facelift soon, targeting the premium segment with updates like AWD, dual-motor setup, and refreshed design.

Tata Motors is preparing to launch two new premium models — the Harrier EV and the Altroz facelift — in the coming months. While the Harrier EV will target the growing electric vehicle market, the Altroz facelift will refresh Tata’s popular premium hatchback with updated styling and features.
Tata Altroz Facelift: What to Expect
The facelifted version of the Tata Altroz could arrive as early as May. The Altroz, first launched in November 2019 and built on Tata’s Alfa Arc platform, is due for a mid-cycle update. Recently, test mules of the updated hatchback have been spotted on public roads, revealing several cosmetic changes.
Spy images suggest that the 2025 Altroz facelift will sport a redesigned front bumper, updated wheels, and revised lighting elements. It is expected that Tata will replace the existing halogen rear lights with new LED combination lamps. LED headlights could also be introduced, aligning it with rivals like the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20. The new model will likely feature stylish five-spoke alloy wheels, enhancing its sporty character.
Inside, Tata Motors may introduce updated upholstery and refreshed interior trims. There is a possibility of ventilated front seats being offered across more variants, taking inspiration from the Altroz Racer. Mechanically, the facelifted Altroz is expected to retain its current engine and transmission options without major changes.
Tata Harrier EV to Join the Lineup
Initially scheduled for a March launch, the Tata Harrier EV is now expected to hit showrooms around June. Unlike the standard Harrier, which is a front-wheel-drive SUV, the Harrier EV will primarily offer a rear-wheel-drive layout and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant. So far, Tata has confirmed that the EV will feature a dual-motor AWD setup capable of delivering 500 Nm of torque.
The Harrier EV will be based on Tata’s Gen 2 Acti.ev platform, a heavily reworked version of the Omega architecture. It is anticipated to offer two battery pack options — around 60 kWh and 75 kWh — with the larger pack promising a range of up to 500 km. Pricing for the electric SUV could start in the Rs. 22–25 lakh (ex-showroom) range.
Teasers have hinted that the Harrier EV will feature a four-spoke steering wheel, a floating touchscreen, and a digital instrument cluster similar to the regular Harrier, although these units may get EV-specific graphics. The electric SUV will also support advanced capabilities like vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging.
