Toyota bZ4X Touring is a larger, more powerful electric SUV launching in Europe spring 2026. It offers up to 380 BHP, increased boot space, and enhanced features for families and long-distance drivers.

Toyota is expanding its electric SUV lineup with the introduction of the bZ4X Touring, set to launch in Europe in spring 2026. This new version builds on the existing bZ4X but offers a larger body, more power, and practical updates aimed at families and long-distance drivers. With subtle design changes and improved performance, the bZ4X Touring combines spaciousness and efficiency to meet the needs of everyday use and longer trips. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new in this latest addition to Toyota’s electric vehicle range.
Toyota bZ4X Touring: What’s New?

The bZ4X Touring is slightly bigger than the standard model, measuring 140 mm longer and 20 mm taller, with a total length of 4,830 mm and height of 1,670 mm. This change boosts boot space by 33%, adding 148 litres for a total capacity of 600 litres—enough room for family holiday luggage or sports gear. The rear seats maintain the practical 40:60 split-folding design, and roof rails add a 70 kg roof load capacity. Despite the larger size, the Touring continues to offer the spacious cabin that Toyota’s electric platform is known for.

The bZ4X Touring will be offered in both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) versions. Both use a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery and offer AC charging options at 11 kW or 22 kW, along with DC fast charging up to 150 kW. The FWD model puts out 224 DIN hp, while the AWD version steps it up to 380 DIN hp—making it the most powerful electric vehicle Toyota has built so far. It also features a newly designed eAxle system that combines the motor, transaxle, and inverter into one compact unit, helping improve efficiency and save space.

For those looking to venture beyond the city, the all-wheel drive version of the bZ4X Touring adds some extra capability. It comes with Toyota’s XMODE drive system, which includes Grip Control to help maintain stability on loose or uneven surfaces. It’s not meant for hardcore off-roading, but it does give the Touring enough confidence for light trails, gravel roads, or snowy conditions.

Visually, the bZ4X Touring brings a few notable updates. It gets black wheel arch cladding, black alloy wheels, new roof rails, and a redesigned rear bumper with refreshed LED tail-lamps. A new Brilliant Bronze colour has also been introduced to give the SUV a more distinct appearance.

Inside, there aren’t major changes. The Touring continues with the familiar 14-inch infotainment screen and 7-inch digital driver display. Other key features like the dual wireless charging pad and slim ambient lighting strip across the dashboard remain unchanged.
As with other models in the bZ series, the bZ4X Touring is supported by Toyota’s Battery Care Program. Owners will receive coverage for up to 10 years or 1 million kilometres, provided they complete annual battery health checks.
