Toyota Corolla Cross 2026 facelift unveiled with updated design, new GR Sport variant, hybrid powertrain options, and advanced tech features.

Toyota has officially revealed the 2026 Corolla Cross facelift for international markets. The updated compact SUV receives key upgrades in design, features, and technology. A new GR Sport variant has also been introduced, and the model continues to be available with both petrol and hybrid powertrains.
Refreshed Design and GR Sport Additions

The facelifted Corolla Cross features a redesigned front grille, sharper LED headlamps, and updated bumpers. The petrol and hybrid variants have distinct styling. While the hybrid version gets a colour-matched modern look, the petrol model offers a bolder, rugged design. The SUV now rides on new 18-inch alloy wheels, and the rear gets subtle tweaks with refreshed tail-lamps.

A sportier GR Sport trim has also joined the lineup, featuring a more aggressive front design, exclusive Strom Grey exterior shade, and 19-inch blacked-out alloy wheels for a performance-inspired appearance.

Updated Cabin and New Features

Inside, the Corolla Cross now features a new 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster. The centre console has been redesigned to offer better storage. Other key updates include a wireless charging pad, new gear selector, and additional comfort features.

Toyota has also upgraded the tech package with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, its latest advanced driver assistance system, which is now standard across all variants.

Powertrain Options Remain the Same
Under the hood, the Corolla Cross facelift continues with the same engines. The petrol variant is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 169 bhp and 205 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT gearbox and offered with both front-wheel and all-wheel drive.
The hybrid version comes in two configurations:
- Hybrid 140: 1.8-litre petrol engine with an electric motor, combined output of 138 bhp.
- Hybrid 200: 2.0-litre petrol engine with an electric motor, delivering 194 bhp.
New Colours and Comfort Features
Toyota has introduced new colour options, including the return of Cavalry Blue. This shade will be available on higher trims like LE, XLE, Hybrid SE, and Hybrid XSE. Selected hybrid models will also get a Jet Black roof as a dual-tone option.
Comfort enhancements include a heated steering wheel for XLE AWD and Hybrid XSE, while heated seats are available on LE AWD and Hybrid SE via an optional package.
Expected Launch Timeline
Toyota has not announced a specific release date yet, but the updated 2026 Corolla Cross is expected to go on sale in Europe by mid-2025, followed by launches in other global markets.
