Toyota Glanza Updated With 6 Standard Airbags, New Prestige Edition Package Launched

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has refreshed its Glanza hatchback with two notable updates that enhance both safety and style. The most important change is that six airbags are now offered as standard across all variants. This includes dual front, side, and curtain airbags—improving overall occupant protection and aligning with Toyota’s global safety philosophy. The update significantly boosts the Glanza’s appeal among first-time buyers and urban commuters who prioritize safety in a compact, premium hatchback.

Alongside the safety upgrade, Toyota has introduced a limited-period accessory bundle called the “Prestige Package.” Available until July 31, 2025, this dealer-installed pack adds several cosmetic enhancements to elevate the Glanza’s exterior styling. The Prestige Package includes chrome-accented door and fender mouldings, lower grille garnish, rear lamp overlays, ORVM chrome highlights, illuminated door sills, rear skid plate, and premium door visors. These additions aim to give the Glanza a more premium look without any changes to the car’s core features or performance.

Under the hood, the Glanza continues with the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine, which delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 22.94 kmpl when paired with the AMT gearbox. For those looking at a more economical option, the CNG variant offers an impressive 30.61 km/kg. Mechanically, the car remains unchanged but continues to be competitive thanks to its strong efficiency figures and reliable performance.

Inside, the Glanza retains all the premium features that have made it popular in the segment. This includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone compatibility, Head-Up Display (HUD), 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, tilt and telescopic steering, and Toyota’s i-Connect system with over 45 connected car features. The cabin is finished in a dual-tone theme that complements the car’s upmarket appeal.

On the design front, the Glanza continues to stand out with Toyota’s signature grille, LED projector headlamps, and 16-inch alloy wheels. It is offered in vibrant colours like Sporting Red, Insta Blue, Enticing Silver, Gaming Grey, and Café White—allowing buyers to choose from a bold and youthful palette that matches the hatchback’s character.

Toyota backs the Glanza with a standard 3-year/1,00,000 km warranty, which can be extended to 5 years/2,20,000 km. The brand also offers 24×7 roadside assistance, a 60-minute express maintenance service, and attractive finance options, reinforcing its customer-centric after-sales support.

Having sold over 2 lakh units in India since launch, the Glanza remains a strong contender in the premium hatchback space. With prices starting at ₹6.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the addition of six airbags as standard and the new Prestige Package further improve its value proposition, making it a compelling choice for safety-conscious, style-seeking buyers.
