Triumph Scrambler 400 XC launched in India at Rs 2.94 lakh. Features cross-spoke tubeless wheels, off-road enhancements, and same 398cc engine.

Triumph Motorcycles has introduced the Scrambler 400 XC in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.94 lakh, positioning it Rs 28,000 above the Scrambler 400 X. While both models share the same platform, the XC trim brings key updates aimed at boosting its off-road capability and visual appeal.
What Sets the XC Apart

The most notable change on the XC is the use of tubeless, cross-spoke wheels — retaining the same 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel sizes but now better suited for rougher terrain. A body-coloured flyscreen and front fender have been added, giving the XC a tougher, more purposeful appearance. It also comes with aluminium sump protection and engine crash guards as standard fitment.

Available in three colour options — Vanilla White, Storm Grey, and Racing Yellow — the Scrambler 400 XC stands out with its upright stance, high-mounted elements, and chiselled fuel tank. The design pays homage to Triumph’s Scrambler heritage, echoing styling cues from the larger Scrambler 900 and 1200 models.
Engine and Performance
Mechanically, the XC carries over the same 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that powers the Scrambler 400 X. This motor delivers 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque, paired to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch.

The suspension setup includes long-travel USD front forks and a rear monoshock, both offering 150mm of travel. Ground clearance is rated at 195mm, while the seat height stands at 835mm.
Features and Equipment
The bike comes equipped with hand guards, raised front mudguard, engine bars, and a windshield — all offered as standard. Triumph has also included tech features such as ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, switchable ABS (including off-road ABS), and a USB charging port.

Lighting duties are handled by an all-LED setup, including a DRL-equipped headlamp. A semi-digital instrument console with analogue and digital readouts and a key-based immobiliser round off the list of features. Adjustable levers are also offered for added rider comfort.
Warranty and Ownership Package
Triumph is backing the Scrambler 400 XC with a five-year warranty and roadside assistance as standard. It also comes with 16,000 km service intervals, and customers can choose from a variety of AMC plans or extend their warranty coverage. For personalisation, over 20 official accessories are available.
Rival and Pricing Position
Priced at Rs 2,94,147 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Scrambler 400 XC slots above the Scrambler 400 X and competes with models like the Royal Enfield Scram 440 and Yezdi Scrambler. Within Triumph’s own range, the Speed 400 remains the most affordable offering at Rs 2.46 lakh (ex-showroom).
