Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the Speed Triple 1200 RX, a limited-edition streetfighter with 180.5 bhp, aggressive ergonomics, Öhlins electronic suspension, and a striking yellow colour scheme. Only 1,200 units will be made globally.

Triumph Motorcycles has taken the wraps off its new flagship streetfighter – the Speed Triple 1200 RX. This latest addition to the Speed Triple range will be limited to just 1,200 units worldwide, making it a special edition for collectors and performance enthusiasts.
Sharper Styling and Aggressive Ergonomics

The Speed Triple 1200 RX sets itself apart visually with a special Triumph Performance Yellow and Granite paint scheme, complemented by white RX accents and carbon fibre detailing on the front mudguard and tank panels. The rear wheel also gets a yellow accent for added visual flair.

The ergonomics have been reworked for a more committed riding position. The RX comes with clip-on handlebars that are 69mm lower and 52mm further forward than those on the RS. Footpegs are placed 14.5mm higher and 25.5mm further back, enhancing the sporty feel. The single-piece seat has been redesigned to aid rider movement, and there are no pillion footrests.

Performance and Hardware
At its heart, the RX uses the same 1,160cc inline three-cylinder engine as the RS. It continues to deliver 180.5 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 127 Nm of torque at 8,750 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter. While the performance figures remain unchanged, the RX does get additional performance-focused hardware.

Suspension duties are handled by Öhlins Smart EC3 semi-active units, along with an Öhlins SD EC electronic steering damper integrated into the system. Braking is taken care of by Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers at the front and a disc at the rear.

The motorcycle comes fitted with an Akrapovič exhaust system, which includes a titanium outer wrap, carbon fibre end cap, and laser-etched branding. While it enhances the bike’s soundtrack and looks, it doesn’t bring any performance gains. Despite these changes, the RX weighs 199 kg – just 1 kg more than the RS – primarily due to the new steering damper and suspension setup.
Advanced Electronics Package

In terms of electronics, the RX carries over the suite from the RS. This includes cornering ABS, traction control, engine braking control, wheelie control, and cruise control. The RX also features five riding modes – Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and Rider – all accessible via a TFT instrument cluster.
India Launch Possibility
Triumph India has not officially confirmed if the Speed Triple 1200 RX will be launched in the country. However, given the brand’s history of bringing limited-edition models to India, a few units may be allotted for Indian enthusiasts.
With only 1,200 units to be made globally, the Speed Triple 1200 RX is a rare and refined machine aimed at riders looking for an even sharper, track-focused version of Triumph’s top-tier streetfighter.
