TVS has updated the Apache RTR 310 with new electronics including Drag Torque Control and launch control. Prices start at ₹2.40 lakh. Check out what’s new.

TVS Motor Company has refreshed its flagship street-naked motorcycle, the Apache RTR 310, bringing in a host of electronic updates and small but meaningful enhancements to improve its overall ride quality and tech appeal. The motorcycle continues to be available in two main variants—Base and Top—priced at ₹2.40 lakh and ₹2.57 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. In addition, buyers can opt for two built-to-order (BTO) kits—Dynamic (₹2.75 lakh) and Dynamic Pro (₹2.84 lakh). A Sepang Blue colour option is available as well, which increases the price by ₹10,000 depending on the variant.
While the styling remains largely unchanged, there are a few visual tweaks. The RTR 310 now gets a transparent clutch cover, similar to the one seen on the Apache RR 310, as well as new knuckle guards and an additional Fiery Red paint scheme. A new 5-inch TFT display has been added, along with sequential turn indicators for better visibility and a modern look.
The key upgrade in this update is the inclusion of Drag Torque Control, now a standard feature. This system helps in preventing rear-wheel slippage under aggressive downshifting. For riders looking for more tech, the top-spec Dynamic Pro version also introduces launch control, offering quicker off-the-line acceleration.
Standard features across variants continue to include cruise control, ride-by-wire throttle, five riding modes (Urban, Rain, Supermoto, Sport, Track), traction control, rear-wheel lift-off protection, and adjustable brake and clutch levers. The Top variant gets a bi-directional quickshifter, while the BTO kits further expand the feature list significantly.
BTO Kit 1 equips the RTR 310 with a tyre pressure monitoring system, brass chain, and fully adjustable front and rear suspension. BTO Kit 2 takes things further with a wide suite of rider aids including cornering ABS, cornering traction control, wheelie control, slope-dependent control, launch control, and cornering cruise control, among others. It also adds keyless ride control, giving the motorcycle a premium edge in terms of electronic equipment.
Mechanically, the Apache RTR 310 remains unchanged. It retains the 312 cc reverse-inclined, liquid-cooled engine that produces 35.1 bhp and 28.7 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted via a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The bike continues to use the golden USD fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is managed by petal discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS, and the bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.

While the engine internals are the same as before, TVS has added what it calls a “smart torque filter” and an updated “intelligent electronic throttle control” system. These work together to monitor throttle inputs and adjust ignition and fuelling, resulting in sharper throttle response and a more linear torque curve across the rev band.
Performance figures remain impressive for the segment. The Apache RTR 310 can sprint from 0 to 60 kmph in just 2.81 seconds and has a top speed of 150 kmph.
