Google is preparing for an early preview of the Pixel 10 on June 27 through its Superfans program. Only 25 fans will get exclusive access to the upcoming flagship before its official launch.

Google seems to be switching up its strategy once again with the upcoming Pixel 10 series. After moving the Pixel 9 launch earlier last year to beat Apple to the market, the company now appears set to reveal its next flagship even sooner. The Pixel 10 could make its first appearance on June 27, weeks ahead of the usual August or October launch timeline.
The tech giant has begun sending out invitations for a special pre-release event as part of its Pixel Superfans program. Dubbed the “Pixel Penthouse,” the event will take place in London and give just 25 selected fans an early hands-on experience with the new Pixel 10 devices. Alongside testing the phones, attendees will also be able to ask questions directly to Google employees and receive exclusive Pixel-themed gifts. According to the email sent to superfans, those interested must apply by June 4, and the winners will be notified on June 11.

While the June 27 event is not an official launch, it marks the first public glimpse of the Pixel 10, likely revealing its design and some of the new features. If the device isn’t officially released at the event, a full unveiling is expected by late July or early August, around the same time as the stable release of Android 16.
The early showcase is part of a broader shift in Google’s approach to flagship phone releases. Traditionally, Pixel phones were launched in October, but this put them in direct competition with Apple’s iPhone launches in September. Many users would opt for the new iPhone instead of waiting for the Pixel. By unveiling its hardware earlier, Google is aiming to grab attention and market share before Apple rolls out its next device.
Though Google hasn’t confirmed any specifications yet, leaks suggest the Pixel 10 will come powered by the in-house Tensor G5 processor and may run Android 16 right out of the box. The base model is expected to include 12GB of RAM, with the Pixel 10 Pro possibly offering up to 16GB, continuing the trend of higher performance from previous Pro variants.

On the camera front, reports indicate a significant upgrade across the Pixel 10 series. Leaks point to a triple-lens setup becoming standard, not just limited to the Pro version. The system may include a 64MP main camera, a 64MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with up to 50x digital zoom. While these are still unofficial details, they suggest Google is aiming to bring premium camera capabilities to more models in the lineup.
Design-wise, the Pixel 10 is likely to retain a look similar to the Pixel 9 Pro. Leaked renders show the horizontal camera bar continuing as a key design element across the range, reinforcing Google’s current design language rather than making radical changes.
Though the June 27 event is limited to a small group, it signals that Google is eager to build early excitement around the Pixel 10 series. If the strategy works, it may help the company better position its flagship phones in a highly competitive market.
