Motorola has officially unveiled the Edge 2025 in the U.S., marking the latest addition to its Edge smartphone lineup. Positioned as the successor to last year’s Edge model, this new release brings a host of upgrades, including a powerful new chipset, AI-driven features, and enhanced camera capabilities.

Display and Build

The Edge 2025 features a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display with a crisp 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels), supporting 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and can hit a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, ensuring clear visibility even under direct sunlight.

Motorola has equipped the device with military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H) and IP68/IP69 certification, making it resistant to dust, water, and extreme conditions. The phone can survive submersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, reinforcing its rugged build.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the Edge 2025 becomes the first smartphone to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, built on a 4nm process. It is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone ships with Android 15 out of the box.

A 5,200mAh battery powers the device, supporting 68W wired TurboPower charging and 15W wireless charging, ensuring all-day power with minimal downtime.

The Edge 2025 includes 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, NFC, and GPS. For audio, the phone has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and USB Type-C audio support. An in-display fingerprint sensor ensures biometric security.

Price and Availability

The Motorola Edge 2025 is priced at USD 549.99 (approx. ₹46,995). It will be available unlocked in the U.S. starting June 5 through Best Buy, Amazon, and motorola.com. Carrier support from T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Total Wireless, Visible, Spectrum, and Xfinity Mobile will follow.

In Canada, the device goes on sale from June 5 at motorola.ca, with availability expanding to select carriers and retailers in the following weeks. The phone comes in a Pantone-curated “Deep Forest” color.
