Moto G86 Power 5G, Moto G86 5G, and Moto G56 5G launched with bright AMOLED displays, powerful MediaTek chipsets, IP68/IP69 water resistance, and long-lasting batteries.
Motorola has launched three new smartphones — the Moto G86 Power 5G, Moto G86 5G, and Moto G56 5G. These models come with strong durability features, advanced displays, and powerful hardware aimed at mid-range buyers.
Design and Durability
All three phones come with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with military-grade MIL-STD 810H certification. They also feature Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for screen protection. The Moto G86 series stands out with vegan leather backs and includes protective cases in the box.
Display and Performance
Both the Moto G86 Power 5G and Moto G86 5G sport a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and HDR10+ support. These displays can reach a peak brightness of 4500 nits, making them bright and vibrant.
The Moto G56 5G features a slightly larger 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits peak brightness. All displays are protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
Under the hood, the G86 models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, while the G56 5G uses the newer MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor, offering improved performance over its predecessor.
Cameras
The Moto G86 phones feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide and macro camera. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera capable of 4K video recording.
The Moto G56 5G also comes with a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide/macro lens, plus a 32MP front-facing camera.
Battery and Other Features
The Moto G86 Power 5G has a large 6720mAh battery, promising long usage times, while the standard G86 5G and G56 5G pack 5200mAh batteries. All three support fast charging (30W or 33W).
Additional features include dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, in-display or side-mounted fingerprint sensors, dual SIM support (nano SIM + eSIM), Wi-Fi 6, NFC, USB Type-C ports, and Android 15 with two OS updates and four years of security patches.
Moto G56 Business Edition
Motorola also introduced a Business Edition of the Moto G56 5G, designed for enterprise users. This package includes one year of Moto Device Manager for remote device control, Zero Touch Management for bulk deployment, and Moto Safe for firmware-level security. It also offers an extended warranty and optional business-focused accessories.
