Motorola has officially launched its latest foldable smartphones — the motorola razr 60 ultra and the motorola razr 60 — globally. The new generation brings larger displays, improved durability, upgraded performance, and deeper AI integration across the user experience.

The razr 60 ultra features a 7.0-inch pOLED internal display with narrower bezels and Super HD resolution. It also gets a 4.0-inch external display, now protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic, making it the largest and most durable external screen on a flip phone to date. The razr 60 offers a 6.9-inch internal and 3.6-inch external pOLED displays, both Pantone validated for better color accuracy.

In terms of design, Motorola has introduced new material options this year. The razr 60 ultra is the first smartphone to use an Alcantara finish, a material commonly seen in luxury cars. Other options include real wood and leather-inspired textures, combined with Pantone-curated color choices. The razr 60 is available in finishes like Gibraltar Sea and Parfait Pink. Both phones come with a titanium-reinforced hinge and IP48 dust and water resistance, making them the most durable razr devices yet.

Performance also sees a major upgrade. The razr 60 ultra is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, promising up to 45% faster CPU performance and 40% better graphics. The standard razr 60 debuts with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset, aimed at balancing AI performance and battery efficiency.

Motorola is putting a big focus on AI this year, branding it as Moto AI. Features include Next Move for predictive suggestions, Catch Me Up for summarizing missed notifications, and Look & Talk that allows users to interact with the phone without touching it. Moto AI also powers new personalization options, like dynamically generated wallpapers based on the user’s environment.

Camera hardware has also been improved. The razr 60 ultra sports a triple 50MP camera setup on a flip phone for the first time, with ultra-wide and Super Zoom capabilities. It also supports Dolby Vision video capture. The razr 60 comes with a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide and macro sensor. New AI-powered photography features like Signature Style, Group Shot, and Action Shot further enhance the camera experience.

Battery life is another area where Motorola has made improvements. The razr 60 ultra is equipped with a 4700mAh battery supporting 68W fast wired charging and 30W wireless charging, while the razr 60 packs a 4500mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. Reverse charging is also supported on both models.

Alongside the new smartphones, Motorola introduced the moto buds loop and moto watch fit. The Moto Buds Loop are Motorola’s first open-ear earbuds, tuned by Bose for premium sound. The Moto Watch Fit offers health tracking features and supports notifications. Additionally, the Razr 60 Ultra will support digital car key functionality for BMW and MINI vehicles.

The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra and Razr 60 will be available for pre-order in the U.S. starting May 7, priced at $1,299.99 (around ₹1,10,977) and $699.99 (around ₹59,756) respectively.
