Motorola is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in India soon, and going by recent teasers and leaks, it could very well be the Moto G96 5G. The brand has posted a teaser on X (formerly Twitter), sparking speculation about the upcoming device. While the official name hasn’t been confirmed yet, design cues and key specifications strongly point towards the Moto G96 5G.

Adding more weight to the speculation, a dedicated microsite for the new Motorola smartphone is now live on Flipkart. The listing reveals several features of the upcoming phone, including a curved pOLED display with slim and symmetrical bezels, and a centrally-aligned hole-punch cutout for the front camera. The device is also shown to feature a dual rear camera setup and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.

The teaser highlights four colour options — two different shades of blue, along with green and purple. These colour choices appear to match earlier leaked renders of the Moto G96 5G, which were shown in Ashleigh Blue, Dresden Blue, Greener Pastures, and Cattleya Orchid (a light lavender hue).

Motorola’s teaser, captioned “All eyes on you,” shows the phone sporting a sleek finish, a dual-camera layout, and a water-resistant design, suggesting an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. The presence of a Snapdragon processor has also been confirmed through the teaser, although the exact variant isn’t officially mentioned.

If recent leaks are accurate, the smartphone is expected to feature a 6.67-inch 10-bit curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it could be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, rather than the newer 7s Gen 3. On the camera front, it is said to include a 50MP Sony LYT-700C main sensor with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens that may also support macro shots. A 32MP selfie camera is expected to be positioned up front.

Other expected features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a large 5,500mAh battery, and 68W fast charging. The device is also likely to carry IP68 certification for added durability.
