OnePlus has launched the Nord 5 in India with a 6.83-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 6800mAh battery, and up to 512GB storage. Prices start at Rs. 31,999.

OnePlus has officially introduced the Nord 5 in India at its Summer Launch event, bringing notable upgrades across performance, display, battery, and AI integration. Positioned as a powerful mid-range option, the Nord 5 aims to bridge the gap between premium features and affordability.
The highlight of the device is its large 6.83-inch 1.5K Swift AMOLED display, offering a variable refresh rate up to 144Hz and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. With a peak brightness of 1800 nits and Gorilla Glass 7i protection, the display is built for smooth visuals and high outdoor visibility.
Under the hood, the Nord 5 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which delivers a performance bump over the Nord 4’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. It’s paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offers storage options of 256GB and 512GB (UFS 3.1). OnePlus claims the device is optimized for gaming, capable of running top titles like BGMI, Free Fire, and Call of Duty: Mobile at 144 FPS for up to five hours straight. The phone also features a massive 7,300 mm² vapor chamber cooling system with a total heat dissipation area of 32,207 mm² to help keep temperatures in check during extended use.
In terms of software, the Nord 5 comes with Android 15 out of the box, layered with OxygenOS 15. OnePlus has committed to 4 years of major Android updates and 6 years of security patches, offering long-term software support. The phone also integrates Google Gemini and gives eligible users a 3-month free trial of Google AI Pro.

Camera capabilities see a significant boost this year. The rear setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-700 sensor with OIS, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, the Nord 5 becomes the first in the series to feature a 50MP selfie camera, capable of 4K 60fps video recording — a welcome addition for content creators and video callers.
Another notable change is the replacement of the iconic alert slider. Instead, the Nord 5 introduces the “Plus Key,” first seen on the OnePlus 13s. This customizable button can quickly toggle sound profiles, AI features, or other functions based on user preferences.
Powering everything is a 6800mAh battery — one of the largest in its class. It supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, capable of fully charging the device in under an hour. The Nord 5 also supports bypass charging for heat management during gameplay and has IP65-rated resistance against dust and water.
