OPPO A5 5G launched in India with a 6000mAh battery, 120Hz display, IP65 rating, and 45W SUPERVOOC charging. Available in two variants starting at ₹15,499.
OPPO has officially launched the A5 5G in India, expanding its affordable 5G smartphone lineup with a focus on durability and performance. We had earlier reported that the OPPO A5 5G was likely to launch soon in the country, and now the device is official. It comes in two variants — 6GB RAM + 128GB storage priced at ₹15,499 (MRP ₹19,499) and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage priced at ₹16,999 (MRP ₹20,999). Buyers can choose between two colour options: Aurora Green and Mist White.
The OPPO A5 5G features a large 6.67-inch (16.94cm) LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 1604 x 720 pixels. It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz, ensuring smoother scrolling and better touch responsiveness. The screen offers a peak brightness of 1000 nits, making it suitable for outdoor viewing, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It runs on ColorOS 15 and uses LPDDR4X RAM along with UFS 2.2 storage. Storage is expandable via a microSD card, and USB OTG is supported.
One of the key highlights is the 6000mAh battery, which promises extended usage on a single charge. The device supports 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, along with other charging standards such as 33W PPS, 15W VOOC, and 13.5W PD.
In terms of durability, the OPPO A5 5G stands out with an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance and a 360° armour body designed to withstand everyday damage.
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP monochrome sensor. The camera supports multiple modes including Night, Portrait, Pro, Panorama, Slo-Mo, Dual-view video, and Time-Lapse. On the front, there’s an 8MP camera with support for features like Portrait mode, Screen Fill Light, and Dual-view video.
