Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Confirmed

Poco has announced that the F7 5G will come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, a high-performance processor aimed at delivering flagship-grade capabilities with improved power efficiency. The brand claims the phone has achieved an AnTuTu score of over 2.1 million points, indicating serious firepower under the hood. This chipset will also power the global variant of the Poco F7 5G.

Performance and Cooling

The Flipkart listing confirms the Poco F7 5G will support up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM along with UFS 4.1 storage, promising faster data access and smooth multitasking. For sustained performance during heavy tasks, the device will be equipped with a 3D IceLoop cooling system backed by AI temperature management. It will also include a large 6,000mm² vapour chamber to help keep thermals under control.

The phone also brings WildBoost Gaming Optimisation 4.0, which aims to enhance gaming performance by maintaining consistent frame rates, responsive UI, better brightness management, and energy efficiency during extended gaming sessions.

Battery and Charging

A major highlight of the Indian variant is its 7,550mAh battery, which is notably large compared to other phones in its segment. It supports 90W wired fast charging, allowing for quicker top-ups, and also offers 22.5W reverse wired charging, letting users charge other devices on the go.
