Samsung has launched the Galaxy M36 5G in India with a 120Hz AMOLED display, Exynos 1380 chip, Galaxy AI features like Circle to Search, triple cameras, and 4K video support — all under ₹20,000.
Samsung has launched its latest M-series smartphone in India — the Galaxy M36 5G. The new device brings notable upgrades over its predecessor and stands out with Galaxy AI features, a sleek design, and extended software support.
The Galaxy M36 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering vibrant visuals and smooth scrolling. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which Samsung claims can withstand drops from up to 2 meters. The phone has a slim profile at just 7.7mm and includes a hole-punch cutout at the top center for the selfie camera.
Powering the device is Samsung’s 5nm Exynos 1380 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It runs on One UI 7 out of the box, and Samsung promises up to six years of software updates, including security patches — a significant plus in this segment. What makes the Galaxy M36 5G stand out further is the inclusion of Galaxy AI features like Circle to Search and Google Gemini Live, tools that were previously reserved for higher-end Samsung models.

In terms of optics, the phone is equipped with a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording.
The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, making it a reliable daily driver for moderate to heavy users.
Pricing and Availability
Samsung has priced the Galaxy M36 5G at ₹16,499, including launch bank offers. It will be available in three colour options: Seren Green, Velvet Black, and Orange Haze. Sales will begin on July 12 through Amazon, Samsung India’s online store, and offline retail outlets.
