Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is launching on May 13, expected to feature 5.85mm slim profile, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, 6.8-inch AMOLED display, and 200MP camera.

Samsung is all set to unveil its slimmest flagship yet — the Galaxy S25 Edge — on May 13. The company has confirmed the launch and revealed that the phone will feature Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, designed in collaboration with Corning to suit the device’s ultra-slim design. The phone is expected to be just 5.85mm thick, making it one of the slimmest Galaxy models to date.
Ultra-Thin Design and Display
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to arrive with a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate. With slimmer bezels and a lightweight body under 170 grams, the design is likely to stand out. It remains to be seen if Samsung will use a titanium frame or stick with aluminium, like the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus.
The display will be protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, which brings added durability against drops and scratches. Samsung teased the phone’s design during the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, soon after introducing the rest of the Galaxy S25 series.
Camera
While hardware upgrades may be minimal, the S25 Edge is expected to feature significant software enhancements. Leaks suggest the phone will include a 200MP main sensor, likely an improved version of the ISOCELL HP2 seen in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Accompanying this could be an ultra-wide or telephoto lens. The camera is also expected to support 8K video recording. Samsung is said to have reworked the camera module to maintain the phone’s slim profile without compromising performance.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Edge will likely run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 “Elite” chipset in most markets, with some regions receiving Samsung’s Exynos variant. RAM is expected to start at 12GB, with storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. The phone will ship with Android 15-based One UI 7 and may include new software optimisations for performance and thermal management.
Battery and Charging
The phone is expected to pack a 3,900mAh battery with 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging support. While the capacity seems modest compared to some rivals, Samsung could rely on software improvements to deliver a full day of usage. New battery health features under One UI 7 are also expected.
Launch Details
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will launch via a global online event on May 13. The livestream will be available through Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel.
