TECNO has launched the POVA 7 5G and POVA 7 Pro 5G in India with 144Hz displays, Dimensity 7300 chip, up to 64MP camera, 6000mAh battery, and segment-first 30W wireless charging.
TECNO has officially launched its latest smartphones — the POVA 7 5G and POVA 7 Pro 5G — in India. As promised earlier, both devices bring notable upgrades in design, performance, and display, targeting users looking for high-refresh-rate screens, capable cameras, and large batteries in the mid-range segment.
Both phones feature a 6.78-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, but differ in panel technology. The POVA 7 5G sports a Full HD+ LCD screen, while the Pro variant comes with a sharper 1.5K AMOLED panel with up to 4500 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate SoC, these phones come with 8GB of RAM and support up to 8GB virtual RAM expansion, offering smooth multitasking and gaming performance.
On the software front, the devices run HiOS 15 based on Android 15. TECNO has confirmed an Android 16 update and two years of security patches. Both models also get TECNO’s Ella AI assistant with features like AI Call Assistant, AI Auto Answer, multilingual support, and voiceprint-based noise suppression.
The standout feature is the segment-first Multi-Functional Delta Light Interface — a backlit panel on the rear with 104 mini LED lights that respond to music, calls, and notifications. TECNO says this design represents change and evolution, matching the bold aesthetics of the new POVA series.
In terms of optics, the POVA 7 5G includes a 50MP main camera and a 13MP front camera, while the POVA 7 Pro 5G steps it up with a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 4K video recording from both front and rear shooters. Both phones carry an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Battery performance is another major highlight — both phones pack a 6000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The POVA 7 Pro 5G also introduces 30W wireless charging, a first in this price segment, further enhancing its appeal to power users.
Additional features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, dual microphones, 5G+, VoWiFi Dual Pass, and Intelligent Signal Hub for enhanced connectivity. The POVA 7 Pro 5G also benefits from an in-display fingerprint sensor and faster LPDDR5 RAM.
Pricing and Availability
The TECNO POVA 7 5G is available in Magic Silver, Oasis Green, and Geek Black. It’s priced at ₹14,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and ₹15,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. With bank offers, the effective prices drop to ₹12,999 and ₹13,999 respectively.
The TECNO POVA 7 Pro 5G comes in Dynamic Grey, Neon Cyan, and Geek Black. It is priced at ₹18,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version and ₹19,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. Introductory bank offers bring down the prices to ₹16,999 and ₹17,999.
Both models will be available on Flipkart starting July 10, with up to 6 months no-cost EMI options from leading banks.
