TECNO has launched its latest 5G smartphone, the POVA Curve 5G, in India under its new Curve series. The device brings a curved AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chip, and several AI-powered features, all starting at an aggressive price of ₹15,999.

TECNO POVA Curve 5G: Key Specifications

  • Curved AMOLED Display: The POVA Curve 5G features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ 3D curved AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1300 nits peak brightness. The display supports 2304Hz PWM dimming and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
  • Performance: The phone is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor, paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, along with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. TECNO also offers up to 8GB of virtual RAM for enhanced multitasking.
  • Software: It runs on HiOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box, with a confirmed upgrade to Android 16 and two years of security updates. TECNO has integrated its Ella AI suite, which includes features like AI Call Assistant, Auto Answer, Voiceprint Noise Suppression, and Multilingual Support tailored for Indian users.

Camera Setup

  • The rear setup includes a 64MP primary camera with a Sony IMX682 sensor and a 2MP portrait camera.
  • On the front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera. Both cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps, a rare feature at this price range.

Battery and Charging

The phone packs a 5500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. TECNO claims a 50% charge in just 15 minutes and 100% in 45 minutes. It also supports bypass charging and offers over 1800 charging cycles for longer battery life.

Design and Build

The POVA Curve 5G features a slim 7.45mm body with a design inspired by futuristic starships. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and dual microphones. The phone is rated IP64 for dust and splash resistance.

Connectivity

Connectivity features include 5G+ support, VoWiFi Dual Pass, and TECNO’s Intelligent Signal Hub System for better performance in weak signal areas. Other options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C.

The TECNO POVA Curve 5G is available in Magic Silver, Neon Cyan, and Geek Black colour options. It comes in two variants:

  • 6GB RAM + 128GB storage – ₹15,999 (available on Flipkart)
  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – ₹16,999 (available via offline retail)

Sales begin from June 5th on Flipkart and offline stores.
